February 2011 Flowers

Well Feb has gone,with the wet, the heat and the humidity but the orchids loved it. It is starting to get a little cooler at night now.

Some of the flowers still flowering and others flowering this month that are depicted on the site under their category.

Dendrobium bracteosum, Den lawesii fma bicolor, Den monophyllum, ( third time this year), Den obtusipetalum,Dendrochilum longifolium, Epidendrum heamanthun, Epi Hybrid, Jumellea cormorensis, Polystachya galeata, Spathoglottis Hybrid.

Others flowering are below, including one of Jumellea cormorensis with 2 flowers on the same inflorescence, I thought they had a single flower.

Cool to Intermediate. A medium grower, flower 2.5cm.

Cool to Intermediate. A medium grower, flower 2.3cm, successive flowerer, this plant was sent to me from Bob Cowan of the Orchid S.P.E.C.I.E.S.(NSW) which is a very informative Society.
